Giuseppe Bivona
Partner and CIO
Before launching Bluebell Capital Partners in 2019, Giuseppe was co-founder of its preceding firm, Bluebell Partners; a co-investor and advisory firm involved in high profile, successful activist campaigns in Europe.
Prior to Bluebell Partners Giuseppe worked for 18 years with the investment banks Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers in London.
Before that, Giuseppe worked at McKinsey in Milan and IBM.In his last position at Goldman Sachs, he was responsible for Fixed Income Sales in Italy, with direct responsibility for financial institutions' coverage and structured business across clients.
At Morgan Stanley, Giuseppe headed the European Sovereign Liability Management Team and afterward the Global Capital Market Team, with responsibility for Italian financial institutions on debt and equity capital market products.
At Lehman Brothers, Giuseppe headed the Capital Market and Structured Solution Group for Italy, focussing on financial institutions. Giuseppe has extensive experience in structuring and executing balance sheet restructurings, complex derivatives transactions and has advised major Italian banks and insurance companies on regulatory capital relief solutions.
Giuseppe holds a university degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Marco Taricco
Partner and CIO
Before launching Bluebell Capital Partners in 2019, Marco was co-founder of its preceding firm, Bluebell Partners; a co-investor and advisory firm involved in high profile, successful activist campaigns in Europe.
Prior to Bluebell Partners Marco accumulated 23 years' experience with the investment banks Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan, where he held several senior positions in New York, London and Milan.
In his last position, he was responsible for JP Morgan’s Italian Investment Banking Advisory and Coverage of corporate clients. Marco also held a senior position in Morgan Stanley’s PWM business.
Marco has been involved in major M&A and capital markets transactions across the US and Europe, and across most industry sectors. Selected examples include the privatisation of Telecom Italia, the IPOs of Mediaset, Gucci, Bulgari and Ferragamo, and large re-financings such as Snam.
In 2007 Marco successfully launched Network Capital Partners, a PE fund of funds and co-investment vehicle which raised $150m and delivered returns in line with top quartile peers. He also co-founded ePlanet, a TLC company that went public in 2000 with a post-money market capitalization of €600m.
Marco holds a university degree in Business Administration from Turin University, an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
David Calvo Platero
Portfolio Manager and Partner
David is responsible for idea generation, valuation, and stakeholder engagement. He has 20 years of experience as a financial professional and joined Bluebell Capital Partners at inception from its preceding firm, Bluebell Partners.
Before joining Bluebell Partners in 2016, David worked for 10 years with investment banks Lehman Brothers and Nomura in London. Prior to that, David worked for four years as an equity research analyst at Intermonte in Milan.
David holds a Masters degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
Nicolas Ceron
Portfolio Manager
Nicolas is responsible for idea generation, valuation, and stakeholder engagement. He has 16 years of experience as a financial professional and joined Bluebell Capital Partners in 2019.
Previously Nicolas was a portfolio manager at Norges Bank Investment Management for 4 years. Before that he spent 9 years as a sell side equity research analyst at Société Générale, Barclays and Numis covering the consumer sector.
Nicolas holds a Masters degree in Engineering from École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, a Masters degree in Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, and a Masters degree in Finance and Strategy from Sciences Po.
Matthew Low
Chief Operating Officer
Matthew is a member of the firm's management committee and central to the organisation’s innovation, planning and execution. He has 25+ years experience in investment management operations.
Before joining Bluebell Capital Partners in early 2019, Matthew independently ran operations at RWC from 2007 till 2018. Throughout the period RWC opened three offices and quadrupled personnel to support asset growth from $2 – $16 billion.
Matthew has worked extensively with multiple fund infrastructure and strategy types, fund restructuring and has been an UCITS Fund Director.
Pete Papanichola
Trading and Risk
Pete joined Bluebell in 2019 and is responsible for the firm's Trading and Risk. He has accumulated over 22 years of experience, working in the Investment Banking and Hedge Fund Industry in Europe and Asia.
Pete has previously overseen trading at P-Squared AG, Centaurus Capital, Perry Capital Europe and was a Senior Trader at Elliott Advisors. He is experienced in directional and spread trading in assets across the capital structure, macro markets and commodity markets.
Pete holds a BSc(Hons) degree in Management from Cass Business School in London.
Terman Chan
Operations Analyst
Terman joined the team in February 2022 with 28 years of financial operations experience.
Terman was previously the senior operating officer overseeing all operational functions at Old Peak Ltd Hong Kong, an Asia focused fundamental equity long short fund which he joined in 2007. Prior to this, Terman spent 11 years in the equity derivative and client service teams at Goldman Sachs, after starting his career at a local brokerage firm.
Terman holds a BA in Economics from York University in Ontario Canada.
